Coco Point Park in Coconut Creek has been selected as one of three winners of the 2022 Niagara Perk Your Park Contest from Niagara Water’s charitable program, Niagara Cares, and the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA).
The contest awarded Coco Point Park a renovation worth $75,000 with plans to become the first nature-themed park in Coconut Creek, providing the community with ample open space, play areas, exercise equipment, walkways, a butterfly and pollinator garden, and nature education for kids and adults, according to the Perk Your Park website.
The contest began in August and was won with fan votes, with the City of Coconut Creek announcing Coco Point Park as a winner on October 27.
Niagara Bottling is a beverage company that produces bottled water, vitamin and flavored water, teas, and other drinks. The NRPA is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to building strong communities through parks and recreation.
Coco Point Park is located at 4870 NW 6 Street in Coconut Creek.
