Margate Police responded to various calls through April 19. Below is a detailed account of the incidents handled by local law enforcement during this period.
April 15, 2025
A traffic stop at 100 Rock Island Rd resulted in the arrest of Rommario R. O’Connor (07/20/1996), who was found with 17 individual baggies of cannabis weighing approximately 516.44 grams, as well as $9,700 in cash. A search of the vehicle was conducted after officers observed drug paraphernalia in plain view and detected the odor of cannabis. O’Connor was arrested and turned over to BSO.
April 15, 2025
A U-Haul van rented on March 27 was never returned by Rachel Reed (05/31/1994). The vehicle, a 2024 Chevrolet with U-Haul markings, was due back on March 29. After a certified letter went unanswered, the victim signed a theft affidavit and requested prosecution.
April 15, 2025 – 1:20 a.m.
At Atlantic Baptist Church, 4850 W Atlantic Blvd, a man attempted to break in through the front and rear of the church before stealing a white 2006 Ford F250. The vehicle contained pest control equipment and bore a “Mr. Lady Bug Pest Control” decal. The victim wishes to prosecute.

At 5407 W. Atlantic Blvd, Esteban Arenas (08/06/1991) was arrested for inhaling dangerous drugs.
April 16, 2025
At 5500 W. Atlantic Blvd, Daniel Dubreuze (02/18/1998) was arrested on a warrant for driving while his license was suspended.

At a residence on NW 18th St, Tracy Thomas (11/17/1967) was arrested after allegedly kicking and headbutting a victim over the age of 65.

At 2401 N. SR 7, Robert Decicero (07/09/1974) was found passed out in a vehicle with drug paraphernalia visible. He was arrested for possession of cocaine and paraphernalia.
April 17, 2025
A vehicle burglary occurred at a home on SW 64th Ave between 5 p.m. and 5 a.m. Entry was gained without force, possibly using a key. Multiple fishing items were stolen.
April 17, 2025 – 2:23 a.m.
Officers responded to a report of a gunshot and a fleeing vehicle near Banks Road. Shell casings were recovered, and several females were found in the area.

At 5461 W Atlantic Blvd, Miguel Gonzalez (09/29/1994) was seen by an officer striking a woman. She reported he hit her twice in the face, causing her to fall and hit her head. He was arrested and turned over to BSO.

On SW 11th St, Jamie Mauricio Romero Valdez (11/30/1997) reportedly hit and choked the victim before fleeing. An arrest affidavit was completed, but the suspect refused to return.

Ana Montes entered an apartment on Pinewalk Dr. N without permission, causing a disturbance. The victim pushed her out and declined prosecution. Probable cause exists for criminal trespass.

At 2651 Rock Island Rd, two suspects in a black Dodge Challenger attempted to break into vehicles. They fled after being seen by a victim.
April 18, 2025
At 5555 W Atlantic Blvd, Willie Richardson allegedly pushed and grabbed the victim, tearing her shirt. A probable cause affidavit was completed.
April 19, 2025
Jamie Valdez was picked up in North Lauderdale after officers located him about the earlier domestic battery on SW 11th St.

At a residence on NW 18th St, Giselle Sanchez (02/12/1991) was arrested for domestic battery after battering someone during a confrontation over her medication.

At a residence on W Hemingway Cir, Shalani Ragoonanan (02/16/1984) was arrested after reportedly kicking and punching a man who had asked her to leave.

At a home on Banks Rd, Stephan Grant was arrested after allegedly grabbing and pushing the victim during a domestic incident.
April 13, 2025
At a residence on Winfield Blvd, Kathleen Chaney (02/15/1972) was arrested for aggravated battery against a person over 65. A probable cause affidavit had previously been filed.
April 19, 2025
A 2020 white Jeep Wrangler was stolen from 5562 W Sample Rd at approximately 1:30 p.m. The victim reported it missing.
April 19, 2025
An employee at O’Reilly Auto Parts was issued a Notice to Appear for theft. The employee admitted to ordering auto parts for personal use on the company account.
April 19, 2025
A man entered Dollar General at 700 S State Road 7 and stole fabric softener products valued at $37.85. He fled the scene northbound on a bicycle.
