Coconut Creek High School Girls Soccer. {CC Athletics}

In the past two weeks, four Coconut Creek High School varsity teams picked up their first win of the season.
Boys Soccer
The boys’ soccer team dropped their opening two games before beating Hallandale High School 2-0 on Nov. 18. The Cougars previously fell to Blanche Ely High School 2-0 and Stranahan High School 3-1 before picking up their first win of the season. They went on to fall in their last game against Deerfield Beach High School on Monday.
Their team consists of Kesnelson Benjamin, Diego Maldonado Jr., Ryan Paulime, Oliver Prevaly, Jason Bello, Mario Walter, Steven Wright, Yoshua Torres, Dickinson Alexandre, Kaelon Brown, Wellejerf Laguerre, Weds Mathriun, Akeel Bartley, Delmer Munguia, Joshua Martinez, Steven Dekas, Adonis Moncada, Orette Henry, Juan Sanchez, Karon Palmer, Klass Brisseau, Joshua Palomeque, Carlens Joseph and Camron Henry.
Girls Soccer
The girls’ soccer team dropped their first four games of the season but defeated Deerfield Beach 3-1 on Monday. Jayda Washington scored all three goals, while Ranleel Thomas and Rhanlya Allen both had assists. Tyquanna Perlman picked up the win in net.
Their team comprises Tyquanna Pearlman, Jenasha Delhomme, Mifaela George, Special Pitts, Amira Robillard, Salaya Campbell, Briana Guzman, Jayda Washington, Andreana McEachrore, Tatianna Portillo, Jasmyne Maldonado, Demetrica Coliumbus, and Asia Gilbert.
Girls Basketball
In their second game of the season, the girls’ basketball team defeated Stranahan High School 35-25 on Wednesday. The Cougars trailed 10-6 after the first quarter but outscored the Cobras 14-2 in the second quarter. They ended up falling in their third game and have a record of 1-3.
Boys Basketball
The Coconut Creek boys basketball team picked their first win on Friday against Forest hill High School. The Cougars. also evened their record at 1-1 with a 54-49 win after falling in their first game against Saint Andrews School.
Their team features Darien Woody, Demarcus Crowder-Brown, Jaylen Hamm, Naytam Rivera, Kyen Harmon, Kevin Holtzclaw, Donovan Strowbridge, Youvens Lauzaphat, Kashoon Ramsey, Bryan Jules, and Keshawn Jones.
Next, both basketball teams will be back in action on Monday, Dec. 5, against Hollywood Hills High School. The girls’ game starts at 5 p.m., while the boys will tip off at 7:30 p.m. Both soccer teams are set to play on Tuesday, Dec. 6, against Piper High School.
