At the Humane Society of Broward County, two residents, Sombritas and Phoenix, eagerly await adoption into loving homes.
Sombritas, an 11-month-old Labrador mix, returned to the shelter due to his owner’s extensive travel schedule. Despite his playful nature, he has been at the shelter since October, looking for an active family to match his energy.
Phoenix, a two-year-old long-haired orange and white cat known for his sweet demeanor and need for regular grooming, also seeks a permanent home.
The shelter, at 2070 Griffin Road, opens for adoptions daily at 11 a.m. Staff are available for assistance at 954-989-3977 ext. 6, and potential adopters can view animals and complete a pre-adoption application on the shelter’s website, www.humanebroward.com.
In a related announcement, the shelter’s low-cost vaccine and microchipping clinic will expand its operations six days a week starting January 13, providing essential services for new pet owners.
