Residents are invited to attend a presentation given by the Assistant City Manager of Lauderhill on Tuesday, December 10, at a special Woodlands Neighborhood Improvement District Meeting.
Desorae Giles-Smith, Assistant City Manager of the City of Lauderhill will be giving a presentation for the members of the WNID on how their city and communities got involved in creating their Neighborhood Improvement Districts. Giles-Smith is bringing a video presentation as well so you don’t want to miss this.
In 2010, the Woodlands Neighborhood Improvement District was established by the Homeowners Association and the Tamarac City Commission under the Safe Neighborhoods Act. The intent of the district was to provide the community with additional tools to combat decline through crime prevention and beautification.
The Woodlands Safe Neighborhood District WNID covers 910 homes in the Woodlands and on North Laurel Circle, a small neighborhood that falls within the district’s boundaries.
The presentation will be held at 6 p.m. at the Section one clubhouse at 5220 Rock Island Road.
