The Humane Society of Broward County is home to two special pets eagerly waiting for their forever families. Thor, a lively Australian shepherd mix, and Toby, a shy yet affectionate cat, are both in search of loving homes.
Thor
Thor, a 2-year-old Australian shepherd mix, is an active, fun-loving family dog. Weighing 45 pounds, Thor is full of energy and loves to run and play. He is intelligent and knows a few basic commands, making him a great companion for families looking for an engaging and trainable pet.
Thor enjoys cuddling and watching TV with his humans. He previously lived with children aged three and up but has not been around cats. While Thor enjoys the company of other dogs, he needs a bit of time to warm up to them. With patience and understanding, Thor is sure to become a beloved member of any family.
Toby
Toby is a two-year-old cat who needs a quiet and understanding home. Having never lived with other pets, Toby is quite shy and often hides under his bed at the shelter. However, with a little patience and time, Toby gradually comes out of his shell.
He enjoys affection and will roll over and purr once he feels comfortable. Toby’s ideal home would be a tranquil environment where he can feel safe and loved.
Potential adopters can visit the Humane Society of Broward County’s website at www.humanebroward.com to complete a pre-adoption application to meet Thor, Toby, or any other pets.
The shelter, located at 2070 Griffin Road, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312, welcomes visitors daily from 11 a.m. No appointments are necessary. For any inquiries, the shelter can be reached at 954-989-3977 ext. 6.
