The City of Margate is holding a Patriot Day Ceremony to commemorate the lives of those who died in the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
Held on Sunday, September 11, at 9 a.m. at Firefighters Park, the free event includes a Presentation of Colors by the Honor Guard and a National Anthem by Officer Lauren Liptak, followed by an invocation by Pastor Paul Applegate and a welcome speech by Fire Chief Roberto Lorenzo.
Division Chief Luis Villar will say a Firefighter’s Prayer followed by the station bell rings, a rendition of the Amazing Grace, and a Retreat of Colors.
Firefighters Park is located at 2500 Rock Island Road in Margate.
