Kimberly McMahon {BSO}
A woman, allegedly intoxicated and in possession of multiple open containers of alcohol, was arrested at HCA Florida Northwest Hospital after refusing to leave and causing a disturbance.
According to a Margate Police Deport, on February 20, officers responded to the hospital at 2801 North State Road 7 after reports of a disruptive individual. Upon arrival, officers learned that hospital staff had asked the woman – later identified as Kimberly McMahon, 48, of Plantation – to leave as she was not a patient and was causing a disturbance.
Records show security initially escorted McMahon outside and requested that MPD issue her a formal trespass warning, which they eventually did.
McMahon was instructed multiple times to collect her belongings and leave the hospital grounds, but she refused to comply.
The situation escalated when McMahon engaged in a verbal altercation with hospital patients, further disrupting the facility and posing a safety concern for staff and patients. Upon further investigation, officers also discovered multiple bottles of alcohol in her possession, including open containers.
Due to her failure to leave after receiving a trespass warning and her intoxicated state, causing a safety risk, police arrested McMahon. She was transported to the Broward County Main Jail, where she was released after posting a $750 bond.
