Front Entrance Sign Repaired

By: Sharon Aron Baron

After nearly a year, the front entrance sign at the Commercial Boulevard entrance has finally been repaired.

The sign was damaged in a car accident back in February of 2016. For months, the community was waiting to see if State Farm would cover the costs of repair. Sadly, there was only $800 insurance left after the crash.

Because the sign sits on city property, this created a problem: does the city pay to repair it, or do the homeowners? The city said they were not responsible for the maintenance of the signage around the Woodlands, and that the homeowners were.

After much back and forth, the Woodlands Section Four Homeowner’s Association voted to pay to have the repairs made to both the front at a cost of $2,400.
