I’m not one who likes instructional exercise classes, but if you are, you may enjoy these free yoga classes which are offered in the Woodlands three times a week.
Formerly taught by instructor, Aviva Mayer for many years, she has since moved to North Carolina and is missed by many of the residents. The Woodlands was able to find instructors Michael and Christina (no last names provided) who have been teaching the classes since.
“I’m trying to keep myself young and strong,” said 80 year-old Gloria Ross who walks her dog twice a day and has been attending yoga classes for seven or eight years, three times a week. “I recommend it for anyone. I enjoy it and it’s inspiring and makes me feel better.”
The class meets every Monday, Wednesday and Sunday at the Section One Clubhouse, 5220 Rock Island Road.
Monday….6:00 – 7:30 PM
Wednesday.6:00 – 7:30 PM
Sunday…10:00 – 11:30 AM
UPDATE: On March 12th, I have been advised that the Section 1 Clubhouse and the surrounding recreational area are private property for Section 1 owners and their invited guests only. Therefore, please make sure you have permission before attending the classes from a resident of Section 1 or the President of Section 1.
