Logan Rudnick is an outstanding student who was the valedictorian of his eighth-grade class with a 4.0 grade point average at Broward Math and Science Schools in Margate.
He also won a gold medal for an engineering project at the 2026 Concept Science and Engineering Fair in Chicago.
Rudnick was among a group of students from the school who were honored during the commission meeting.
“I enjoy studying engineering, and next year I will attend Pompano Beach High School,” said Rudnick.
Stephanie Cleghorn was honored for earning a silver medal for a project she completed on leukemia and abnormal while blood cells. “I am interested in biology,” she said.

Math and Science Schools Students Honored.
Tamica Henry, who teaches math and science at Broward Math and Science Schools, was among the teachers who were honored. “Our students worked very hard, and they did well in the competition. We had three gold medals, six silver medals, and one bronze medal,” she said.
