Through our joint effort with the Margate Police Department to share updates with residents, this is a summary of Margate’s crime and arrests through February 5, 2024.
Theft
A victim of Theft – All Other was reported on Marion Avenue on 01/30/2024. The total estimated loss was $94,000.
Walmart Margate was a Theft – Retail / Shoplifting victim on W Atlantic Blvd on 01/30/2024. The total estimated loss was $570.
A victim of Theft – Bicycle on SW 50 Avenue on 02/03/2024. The total estimated loss was $130.
Grand Theft Auto on State Road 7 of a 4-door black Honda was stolen from Pembroke Pines. The vehicle was located northbound on Banks Road, and a stop was conducted at Copans and Lyons, where four subjects bailed out of the vehicle. Three subjects were apprehended immediately, and a perimeter was established with K9 and aviation for the outstanding driver, who was later found in a car that he broke into to evade police capture.

Burglary
A victim of Burglary Residence on NW 76 Terrace on 02/01/2024.
A victim of Burglary Residence on SW 10 Place on 02/05/2024. The total estimated loss was $600.
Fraud
A victim of Fraud – Credit Card / ATM on W Atlantic Blvd on 02/02/2024. The total estimated loss was $717.
Hit & Run
A victim of Accident – Hit & Run on W Atlantic Blvd/Maple Drive on 02/03/2024.
Arrests
Rishimaharaj, Rafi, 36, was arrested on a charge of Dui Alcohol Or Drugs 1 Offense at 7900 Royal Palm Blvd on 01/30/2024.
Sattar, Shazzar, Ahmad, Bobanyani, 23, was arrested on a Larceny -Petit Theft 2 Degree 1 Offense charge at 5555 W Atlantic Blvd on 01/30/2024.
Zientarski, Olessia, Vladimirovna, 45, was arrested on a Larceny -Grand Theft $20,000 Or More Less Than $10,0000 at SW 6 Street on 01/30/2024.
Osier, Dunel, 20, was arrested on a Robbery-No Firearm Or Weapon charge at 6261 W Atlantic Blvd on 01/30/2024.
Engram, Ernest, Karentae, 36, was arrested on a charge of Larceny $300 Less 10k Dollars From 65 Yoa Older at NW 18 Street on 01/31/2024.
Ramirez, Anthony, and Anibal, 35, were arrested on a charge of Burglary-Occupied Structure Unarmed at 3179 N State Road 7 on 02/01/2024.
Henry, Jean, Bernard, 48, was arrested on a charge of Battery-Touch Or Strike at SW 11 Street on 02/03/2024.
