A Margate woman was arrested for stabbing her live-in boyfriend in his back with a kitchen knife, court records show.
Lisa Boyd, 52, of Northwest 80th Ter., was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon after stabbing the man, who is over 65 years old, on June 21, according to an arrest affidavit.
The stabbing happened after the couple argued in their kitchen, according to the Margate Police Department.
“As the victim was walking out of the residence, [Boyd] grabbed a knife from the kitchen and stabbed the victim in the back,” the affidavit states. “The impact of the knife created a small laceration to upper left side of the victim’s back.”Records show that
Margate Fire Rescue responded to the scene and treated the man for his injuries.
Records show Boyd was booked into the Broward Main Jail and released on a $1,000 bond.
