Pets of the Week: Max and Bandit Are Great With Other Animals

Max and Bandit are looking for forever homes.

By Sharon Aron Baron

This week, the Humane Society of Broward County has some wonderful pets. All adoptions include spaying or neutering, vaccinations, a microchip,  treatment for flea and ticks, and much more.

Max

Max (A655027) is a 6-year-old, 63-pound Boxer mix waiting to find his perfect match. Unfortunately, his previous owner had to give him up because their landlord wouldn’t allow a dog his size. Max misses him and looks forward to the day he can meet a family that loves and cares for him.

According to the staff, Max is affectionate with people of all ages and would be a perfect family dog.

When he arrived at the shelter, he had cataracts. However, thanks to generous donors, he had a special surgery by an eye specialist, and now she can see again. It has been a long recovery process but so worth it.

Max is good with kids and cats, is potty-trained, and knows a few basic commands. He also likes to chase lizards in the yard.

J.R. Dunn Jewelers has sponsored his adoption fee.

Bandit

If you want a pet, but don’t have the time to spend walking a dog, perhaps Bandit (ID 655827)  is the cat for you. Bandit’s previous owner described him as having a “dog-like personality” and being social.

Bandit loves to be pet and will use a scratching post and toys that dangle; and would be so happy if he could have a tall cat tree to climb.

He is also good with other pets.
