The Humane Society of Broward County is reaching out to the community in hopes of finding forever homes for two special pets who have been through a lot and are ready for a fresh start.
Maggie (ID 684370) is a resilient dog who was found abandoned in a field over two months ago. Despite the challenges she has faced, Maggie has shown incredible strength and a warm disposition.
Thanks to the dedicated efforts of the shelter staff and volunteers, she is learning to trust people again. Maggie enjoys spending time with her caretakers, loves getting pets, and is described as having a gentle soul.
One of Maggie’s standout qualities is her excellent leash manners. She enjoys walking and playing fetch, showcasing her energetic side. Maggie takes treats nicely and has a loving nature.
However, she will need a patient family willing to give her the time and space to settle in at her own pace. A home without small dogs or cats would be ideal for her, though she might do well with a dog similar in size.
On the feline side, Sydin (ID 668797) is a beautiful kitty with a loving disposition. Known for her friendliness and storytelling, Sydin loves bathing in sunbeams that come through the window. High places, especially tall cat trees, bring her joy. Sydin gets along well with other cats, enjoys playing with toys, and will come to her new family for affection.
If you’re looking for a loving feline friend, Sydin could be the perfect addition to your family. Her friendly and playful nature makes her a wonderful companion for anyone looking to welcome a cat into their home.
Prospective adopters are encouraged to complete the pre-adoption application available at www.humanebroward.com to meet Maggie, Sydin, or any of the other pets at the Humane Society of Broward County.
After completing the application, you can visit the shelter at 2070 Griffin Road, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312. If you have any questions, call the Humane Society at 954-989-3977 ext. 6. The adoption kennels open daily at 11 a.m.
