Nov. 12
Location: Intersection of Southgate Blvd and S. SR7
A verbal altercation escalated into violence when a suspect struck the victim 3–4 times with a closed fist, causing swelling and bleeding to the victim’s nose and mouth. The suspect left the scene before police arrived.

Location: Verizon, 5600 W. Atlantic Blvd
A suspect wearing an Amazon vest stole two JBL headphones and a speaker, valued at $330, before leaving the store.

Location: Wawa, 2000 N. SR 7
A suspect walked out with a case of beer. Coconut Creek Police detained the individual during a traffic stop.
Vehicle Burglary
Nov. 12
Location: 5560 W. Sample Rd
A victim’s backpack containing a laptop, video camera, Wi-Fi hotspot, birth certificate, and other paperwork was stolen from a locked Ford Maverick. There were no signs of forced entry.
Grand Theft
Nov. 13
Location: 6900 Atlantic Blvd
A stolen Avis rental vehicle, listed in the system since 2022, was recovered. Narcotics and a firearm were found in the 2023 Chevy Traverse.
Petit Theft

Location: Orion Gas Station, 505 N. SR 7
A suspect exited a silver Chevy Trailblazer and stole five cases of beer, valued at $180, from a delivery pallet. The vehicle was reported stolen out of Miami.

Location: Dollar General, 5000 Coconut Creek Pkwy
A suspect stole approximately $300 worth of lotions and fled in a U-Haul van, later located in Pompano.

A heavyset suspect wearing a black jacket, red hat, and shorts stole two bags of merchandise before fleeing on foot.

Cardiff Robinson, 39, was arrested for striking the victim in the lip during a domestic argument.

Location: Walmart, 5555 W. Atlantic Blvd
Brenda Leatherwood, 65, was arrested for shoplifting and an active warrant for petit theft.
DUI
Nov. 16
Location: 1200 N. SR 7
Edwin Martinez Renderos, 35, was arrested for DUI after a traffic violation. He recorded a blood alcohol level of .246.

Anthony Dean, 54, was arrested on an active warrant from Fulton County, GA.
