Incidents
Criminal Mischief
• Location: ____ NW 62nd Terrace
• Details: A residence was egged during overnight hours by unknown subject(s). The victim requested prosecution if a suspect is identified.
Delayed Burglary
• Location: Public Storage, 5150 Copans Road
• Details: A delayed burglary was reported involving a storage unit. Investigators believe a possible former employee may have changed the locks and removed items from the unit. The exact time frame is unknown.
Arrests
Warrant Arrest
• Location: 4998 W. Atlantic Blvd.
• Details: During a traffic stop, officers discovered the subject had an active warrant out of Mississippi. The subject was taken into custody and turned over to the Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO).
Aggravated Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer / Aggravated Fleeing & Eluding / Resisting Without Violence / Burglary of Conveyance
• Location: 300 block of Rock Island Road
• Details: Officers attempted a traffic stop when the vehicle fled. After being located stopped in the roadway, a high-risk stop was initiated. The vehicle reversed at a high rate of speed, ramming a detective’s vehicle, then fled through a residence’s yard. A pursuit followed, ending in Oakland Park, where the vehicle crashed. Two subjects fled on foot and were taken into custody with assistance from BSO and Fort Lauderdale Police.
Trespass After Warning
• Location: HCA Northwest Hospital, 2801 N. State Road 7
• Details: After being discharged from the hospital, the subject refused to leave the property despite requests from security and law enforcement.
DUI
• Location: 6689 NW 1st Court
• Details: The subject was arrested for driving under the influence.
Violation of Injunction (No Contact)
• Location: ____ NW 1st Street
• Details: The subject was arrested for violating a no-contact injunction.
Capias Arrest
• Location: 2699 N. State Road 7
• Details: During a traffic stop, officers learned the subject had two active warrants for criminal mischief and failure to pay child support.
Domestic Violence Battery
• Location: ____ SW 7th Street
• Details: The victim reported attending a concert with the subject, who became highly intoxicated. After returning to the residence, the subject bit the victim on the left forearm, causing a visible injury. The subject admitted to excessive alcohol consumption and blacking out. Injuries observed were consistent with the victim’s statement.
Battery – Dating Violence
• Location: ____ NW 65th Terrace
• Details: An argument escalated into a physical altercation. The victim sustained a small laceration to the forehead. The subject was taken into custody and turned over to BSO.
Simple Battery – Domestic Violence
• Location: ____ SW 4th Place
• Details: A verbal argument escalated into a physical altercation. The subject was arrested and turned over to BSO.
Simple Battery – Domestic Violence
• Location: ____ NW 6th Street
• Details: The subject was arrested following a domestic battery incident.
Retail Theft / Trespass After Warning
• Location: 5485 W. Atlantic Blvd.
• Details: The subject was arrested for retail theft and trespassing after warning.
Retail Theft
• Location: Walmart, 5555 W. Atlantic Blvd.
• Details: Loss prevention observed the subject pass all points of sale with $140.42 in merchandise. The subject was detained and arrested.
Domestic Battery
• Location: ____ Blue Runner Lane
• Details: The subject was involved in a physical altercation with the victim.
