The Margate Police Department responded to various incidents and made multiple arrests between November 11 and 17, 2025.
Incidents
Vehicle Burglaries
Location: ____ NW 69th Terrace
A black 2023 Toyota Tundra was entered between Nov. 10 at 11 p.m. and Nov. 11 at 8:23 a.m. Prescription Adderall (ten 10mg pills) and $20 in change were taken. No forced entry was observed.
A black Ford F-150 at the same location was entered during the same time frame. No items were removed.
Criminal Mischief
Nov. 12 at 2 p.m., Peppertree Plaza Parking Lot
A white/Hispanic male wearing a gray baseball cap, green shirt and gray shorts, riding a dark-colored bicycle, struck a victim’s windshield with his bike after a near accident and argument. The windshield shattered. The subject fled westbound on Sample Road.
Criminal Mischief – Graffiti
2131 N State Road 7 (Vacant Building)
Unknown time of occurrence. Photos uploaded.
Burglary Conveyance – Firearm Stolen
Location: ____ SW 3rd St
Around 6 a.m., the defendant entered the victim’s vehicle, claiming he was there to wash it. The victim had not hired anyone. After the subject left, the victim discovered a 9mm Beretta missing from the glove box. At 11:06 a.m., the defendant returned and entered the vehicle again. Arrest made. A Baker Act was completed.
Domestic Battery
Location: ____ SW 1st St
The defendant got into a physical altercation with a person with whom he previously resided. He pushed the victim in the neck area and struck him on the hand with a chair. Arrested and TOT BSO Main.
Resisting Without Violence – Juveniles
Location: Southgate Blvd
Detectives attempted to stop a black Mercedes sedan. The driver fled and the vehicle was later found unoccupied with four males running from the area. With assistance from K9 and Coral Springs PD, two juveniles were located and arrested for resisting without violence and violation of probation. One juvenile was on probation for burglary. A large quantity of vapes and vape cartridges were found in the trunk. One juvenile was issued a civil citation and released; one was TOT JAC.
Grand Theft – Vehicle Battery
Location: 5491 NW 15th Street
Between a three-week time delay, a vehicle battery was stolen from a box truck. Value estimated at $300–$500.
Retail Theft – Dollar General
Location: 700 S State Road 7
A female wearing a black bonnet, denim jacket, black shorts and pink shoes, and a male wearing a black do-rag and all-black clothing removed two boxes of garbage bags valued at $12 and fled in a dark Chevy sedan. Manager wishes to prosecute.
Retail Theft – Dollar General
Location: 5000 Coconut Creek Parkway
The subject took four packs of black socks and a pair of gloves. Items were recovered and returned. Manager declined prosecution. Subject trespassed.

Tampering with Electronic Monitoring Device Arrest
Location: ____ NW 21st Ct
Defendant: Russell Adams, DOB 11/10/1983
Adams, on pre-trial release for domestic violence battery by strangulation, removed his ankle monitor using an angle saw. He was taken into custody at his residence and TOT BSO.
Trespass After Warning Arrest
Location: Walgreens, 3000 N SR 7
Defendant: Kaino Busby, DOB 02/09/1971
Busby was found on property he was trespassed from the previous day. Arrested and TOT BSO.
Retail Theft Arrest
Location: 5385 W Atlantic Blvd (Walmart)
Suspects: Two juveniles
The juveniles concealed merchandise and provided false identification multiple times. Parents refused pickup. Both arrested and transported to JAC.

Defendant: Roderick Arrington J. James, DOB 08/13/1990
Stole merchandise valued at $415.46.

Observed placing two computer mice valued at $99.88 into a backpack. Released with NTA.

Defendant: Reginal Sweeney, DOB 12/22/1964
Resisting Without Violence / VOP Arrests – Juveniles
Two juveniles arrested after fleeing a vehicle during a traffic stop. One issued a civil citation; one TOT JAC.
