A man was arrested after allegedly exposing himself and performing a lewd act on a home’s front porch, captured on a Ring camera.
According to a Broward Sheriff’s Office report, a man, aptly named Willie King, 36, of Davie, was taken into custody late March 28 after deputies were called to a residence near the 6900 block of Northwest 4th Court.
Investigators say the incident began when residents were alerted by their doorbell camera to an unknown man sitting on their front porch. When the two victims opened the door, the man immediately walked away.
A review of the footage revealed more disturbing behavior.
According to the arrest affidavit, King sat on a bench near the front entrance and repeatedly masturbated before being confronted by the victims and fleeing before deputies arrived.
Margate PD officers canvassed the area and found King asleep at Veterans’ Park on Northwest 1st Street.
After being read his rights, King denied being at the home. When confronted with the video evidence, he reportedly responded, “So what,” and refused to answer further questions.
A witness identification was conducted, and the victims positively identified King as the man seen on their porch.
He was arrested and charged with exposure of sexual organs, a first-degree misdemeanor under Florida law.
