Are you searching for a furry friend who will shower you with endless affection?

Look no further. Gretel (ID 666705), a delightful five-year-old canine, might just be the perfect companion for you. This lovable sweetheart yearns to be with her loved ones and is seeking a warm and caring forever home.

Unfortunately, Gretel’s previous family kept her outdoors day and night, while all she wanted was a place inside where she could feel safe and loved. Now, she has a chance at a fresh start and is eagerly awaiting a new chapter in her life.

Described as gentle, loving, and exceptionally friendly, Gretel promises to be a remarkable addition to any dog-loving family.

Although she is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm, a condition she contracted, her contagious spirit remains unaffected.

The Humane Society is dedicated to ensuring Gretel’s full recovery, and her prospective adopter must be willing to continue her treatment at the shelter.

Meanwhile, another furry friend named Sissy (ID 666577) is hoping to find her forever home as well. This stunning cat, estimated to be around nine, has an enigmatic past. She was discovered abandoned in a dog crate outside a local business, leaving her previous circumstances a mystery.

Despite her past hardships, Sissy remains eager to receive affection and loves to be showered with attention. Potential adopters should allow her ample time to adjust to a new environment, as she can be initially shy but promises to be a devoted and loyal companion once settled.

To meet Gretel, Sissy, or any of the other delightful pets available for adoption, interested individuals are encouraged to complete the pre-adoption application on the Humane Society of Broward County’s official website at www.humanebroward.com.

Following the completion of the application, prospective adopters can visit the shelter located at 2070 Griffin Road in Fort Lauderdale. The shelter opens its doors daily at 11 a.m., providing ample opportunity to find the perfect furry companion. For any inquiries or further information, please contact the Humane Society at 954-989-3977, extension 6.
