Get ready to savor the finger-licking goodness of South Florida’s finest chicken wings.
The 6th Annual Doc Reno’s WingsFest takes place on Father’s Day weekend, Saturday, June 17, from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at the Margate Sports Complex at 1695 Banks Road.
In collaboration with the Sunny Side Market, the free-to-enter Doc Reno’s 2023 WingsFest Father’s Day celebration event brings together local restaurants and food trucks in a fierce competition to determine who reigns supreme as the home of South Florida’s best chicken wings.
Attendees can look forward to a day of fun-filled family-approved activities, including music from local bands, including Mr. Nice Guy, a classic rock band, Rubixx, an 80’s tribute band, and School of Rock.Â
WingsFest also promises an assortment of kid’s activities that will keep little ones entertained while Dad indulges himself in a vast offering of wings and beer.Â
Arts and crafts vendors will also be on hand to showcase their unique creations, and for those seeking to acquire valuable memorabilia, a silent auction will take place, offering a chance to bid on exclusive items.Â
Food trucks will be on-site, offering a wide variety of food options from around the world for those wanting food options outside of just wings.Â
The event organizers have chosen to give back to the community by designating a portion of the event proceeds to benefit the My Family Matters Foundation in collaboration with Joe DiMaggio’s Children’s Hospital Foundation.Â
These foundations provide crucial financial assistance to families with children fighting cancer, making the WingsFest event not only about celebrating fatherhood and the best wings in South Florida but also a meaningful way to support those in need.
