Big-Hearted Nyla and Charming Biscuit Await Their Forever Homes

Nyla and Bisquit are available for adoption at the Humane Society of Broward County.

Two pets stand out at the Humane Society of Broward County, ready to fill your home with love and joy. Meet Nyla and Biscuit, each with a story and love to give.

Nyla is a 2-year-old weighing 94 pounds. She came to the shelter after her previous owner, who had used her for breeding, decided he could no longer keep her.

But Nyla doesn’t dwell on the past; she’s all about making new friends and finding joy in the little things—a soft blanket, a plush toy, or a tasty treat. Her large size and playful nature make her an ideal companion for a family with older children, in a home preferably without felines, as her playful chase might be a bit much for them.

Nyla recently appeared on television, showcasing her calm demeanor and love for car rides. Despite her size, Nyla is gentle, with a playful bounce that only lasts until the heat tells her it’s time to retreat indoors. She reminds us that size doesn’t define your character, as she prides herself on being a well-behaved and genuinely good girl.

If your heart yearns for a feline friend, Biscuit is the perfect match. This velvety-black cat, with striking golden-green eyes, is the definition of affectionate.

Biscuit loves communicating, engaging in conversations, and sharing stories with anyone willing to listen. His love for play, interactive games, and the simple joy of chasing a ball make him a delightful companion.

Biscuit thrives on attention, treats, and lap time, making him an excellent addition to a home with older, calmer children who can appreciate his gentle nature and provide the endless entertainment he promises.

To meet tNyla (ID A679799) or Biscuit (ID 679325), the Humane Society of Broward County invites potential adopters to complete a pre-adoption application on their website, www.humanebroward.com.

The shelter welcomes visitors seven days a week at 2070 Griffin Road, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312. The adoption kennels open daily at 11 a.m. No appointment is necessary.
