2 Pets Seek Loving Homes at the Humane Society of Broward County

Chakra and Blueberry {Humane Society of Broward County}

Two deserving pets are waiting for their forever homes at the Humane Society of Broward County, and they are hoping for a family to give them the love and care they need.

Chakra (ID 691370), a 5-year-old dog, has patiently waited for a family to adopt her since mid-November. Despite a tough start, volunteers and staff describe Chakra as super sweet. “

This lady loves toys,” her profile reads. “She loves looking for them and picking them from the basket. Then she wants to take them home.” Chakra is not interested in treats but is an interactive dog who loves to be petted. She seems housebroken, enjoys playing, and is communicative with her humans. She gets along well with other dogs, although a meet-and-greet is recommended for families with pets at home. Chakra is also curious about cats.

Blueberry (ID 685797), a 6-month-old rabbit, was born at the shelter after her mother was found abandoned by a police officer.

Blueberry and her siblings were raised in a foster home, where they received plenty of TLC. While Blueberry’s mom and siblings have all found homes, Blueberry is still waiting for her forever family. According to her foster mom, Blueberry is social and enjoys spending time with other rabbits. She might even take a nap on your lap. Blueberry is ready to find a home where she can bring joy and companionship.
