A man has been arrested and charged with two counts of sexual assault of an underaged victim amid allegations he engaged in a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old employee he hired to work at a Santa Claus Workshop.
The Margate Police Department arrested Stephaun Alexander Hamilton, 27, of Coconut Creek, on May 6 for an outstanding warrant connected to charges that while working in the role of a supervisor of the Santa Claus Workshop in the Boca Town Center Mall, he sexually abused a 16-year-old hiree.
According to Hamilton’s arrest report, the victim was a seasonal worker during the 2022 holiday season, but by the time Christmas arrived, he and the underage victim were deep in an improper sexual relationship.
The victim alleged that when her relationship with Hamilton began, she was under the impression that he was 18 years old, but later discovered he was actually 27. Following the revelation, the victim and her mother would eventually come forward to law enforcement with details of the alleged abuse.
In the arrest report, the victim stated Hamilton began making sexual advances that led to sexting and eventual sexual encounters.
The victim claims that Hamilton requested they communicated via Snapchat, an app that deletes messages after 24 hours. After some time, they would begin trading naked photographs.
Records of the victim’s claims allege Hamilton first engaged in sexual intercourse with the victim inside a Boca Town Center bathroom while both were at work and that between November and December 2022, the pair would have sex multiple times inside Hamilton’s car once she was released from school.
Text messages obtained by officers reveal Hamilton sending increasingly disturbing messages to the victim, with the warrant specifically detailing an especially graphic string of texts that included asking the victim questions such as “Are you going to drink my pi–?” and “Can you eat my a–?”
As a result of the investigation and interviews with the victim, a warrant was placed for Hamilton’s arrest.
On May 6, Hamlton was located driving his vehicle, and a high-risk traffic stop was conducted by responding officers.
After confirmation of his identity and outstanding warrants, Hamilton was taken into custody and transported to the Broward County Main Jail, where he would later be released after posting a $50,000 bond.
