Newly remodeled Publix in Margate. {David Volz}
The rebuilt Publix in Margate will open with a celebration on the morning of Thursday, April 17.
The new building at Palm Lakes Plaza, 7230 West Atlantic Boulevard, will have an upstairs seating area overlooking the store, where customers can sit and enjoy their “pub-sub” or other grab-and-go items, according to Lindsey Willis, spokesperson for Publix.
The store will be more than 51,000 square feet and offer departments for grocery, dairy, frozen food, seafood, meat, and fresh produce, as well as a full-service bakery, deli, and pharmacy, according to Willis.
New and rebuilt store openings are usually festive occasions for Publix. Customers get to see the new store, and company executives are present.
