Come one, come all, to the Inaugural Meatball Mania Italian Festival, set to cook up a good time for a good cause on Saturday, March 9.

The Margate Sports Complex is gearing up for a culinary showdown unlike any other as it prepares to host the Inaugural Meatball Mania Italian Festival.

Coinciding with National Meatball Day, the family-friendly extravaganza has been planned as a unique way to celebrate the beloved Italian classic by bringing together local restaurants and food trucks for a competition to crown the best meatballs in South Florida.

The festival will feature a day packed with entertainment and activities for all ages. Attendees will also be treated to live performances by local bands, including School of Rock, Maria De Creczenzo, Amerikana, and Project-X.

The event will also feature a wide array of kids’ activities, arts and crafts vendors, and a silent auction featuring valuable memorabilia for attendees to bid on.

Highlights include specially selected food trucks and local restaurants serving their signature take on meatballs, each competing for the title “Best Meatballs in South Florida.”

Alongside the culinary competition, the festival will host a marketplace coordinated by Sunny Side Up Market, offering a variety of goods from local artisans and businesses.

Admission to the Meatball Mania Italian Festival is free.

In the spirit of community and giving back, a portion of the event’s proceeds will benefit the My Family Matters Foundation in partnership with Joe DiMaggio’s Children’s Hospital Foundation.

For those seeking more information or interested in sponsorship opportunities, the festival’s organizers have made details available on the event’s official website, www.meatballmaniafestival.com.
