Margate Crime Update: 67-Year-Old Loses $11K To Fraud

Through our joint effort with the Margate Police Department to share updates with residents, this is a summary of Margate’s crime and arrests through May 27.

Fraud- All Other

A 67-year-old male was the victim of Fraud – All Other on W River Drive was reported on: 05/24/2023. The total estimated loss was: $11,566.

A 69-year-old female was the victim of Fraud-All Other on Mears Parkway was reported on: 05/26/2023. The total estimated loss was: $5,642.

A 95-year-old male was the victim of Fraud- All Other NW 62nd Avenue was reported on: 05/24/2023.

An 80-year-old male was the victim of Fraud – Worthless Check at 7605 W Atlantic Blvd was reported on: 05/25/2023.

Kidnapping / False Imprisonment

A 24-year-old female was the victim of Kidnapping/False Imprisonment on Colonial Drive was reported on: 05/25/2023.

Theft – Bicycle

A 35-year-old female was the victim of Theft–Bicycle on SW 64 Terrace was reported on: 05/23/2023. The total estimated loss was: $350.

Theft – All Other

A 45-year-old male was the victim of Theft – All Other on NW 19 Street, reported on 05/29/2023. The total estimated loss was: $400.

711 was the victim of Theft From Building at 4998 W Atlantic Blvd was reported on: 05/29/2023. The total estimated loss was: $2,403.

Auto Theft

A 60-year-old male was the victim of Auto Theft on NW 77 Avenue, which was reported on: 05/23/2023. The total estimated loss was: $7,000.

A 22-year-old female was the victim of Auto Theft on NW 80 Avenue, reported on 05/23/2023.

Theft – Motor Vehicle Parts

An 82-year-old male was the victim of Theft – Motor Vehicle Parts reported o: 05/23/2023. The total estimated loss was: $950.

Burglary Conveyance

A 29-year-old male was the victim of a Burglary Conveyance on Country Club Drive, reported on 05/23/2023. The total estimated loss was: $1,620.

A 40-year-old female was the victim of a Burglary Conveyance on NW 24. Court was reported on: 5/24/2023. The total estimated loss was: $20.

Theft – Retail / Shoplifting

Office Depot was the victim of Theft – Retail / Shoplifting at 5500 W Sample Road was reported on: 05/25/2023. The total estimated loss was: $850.

Dollar General was the victim of Theft – Retail / Shoplifting at 700 S State Road 7 was reported on: 05/25/2023. The total estimated loss was: $360.

Walmart was the victim of Theft – Retail / Shoplifting at 5555 W Atlantic Blvd was reported on: 05/23/2023. The total estimated loss was: $198.

Battery

A 31-year-old female was the victim of a Battery on NW 64 Avenue reported on: 05/24/2023.

A 33-year-old male was the victim of Battery on W Atlantic Blvd reported on: 05/24/2023.

Arrests

Walcott, Shanicia, Aaliyah, 27, was arrested on a charge of Larceny – Petit Theft 1st Degree 100 Less 750 Dollars at 5317 W Atlantic Blvd on 05/24/2023.

Schena, Jason, Tyler, 18, was arrested on Aggravated Battery -Person Uses A Deadly Weapon at 650 N State Road 7 on 05/24/2023.

Mortimer, Ashlay, Karry, 31, was arrested on a Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence charge at NW 64th Terrace on 05/24/2023.

Mackey, Dana K., 41, was arrested on a Larceny – Petit Theft 2nd Degree 2nd Offense charge at 5317 W Atlantic Blvd on 05/24/2023.

Allen, Mychael, Napoleon, 35, was arrested on a charge at 5413 W Atlantic Blvd on 05/24/2023.

Francis, Maliq, Jevonie, 23, was arrested on a Kidnap – False Imprisonment – Adult charge at Colonial Drive on 05/25/2023.

Bonn, Mindy, Adriana, 62, was arrested on a Larceny – Petit Theft 2nd Degree 1st Offense charge at 5555 W Atlantic Blvd on 05/28/2023.
