Through our joint effort with the Margate Police Department to share updates with residents, this is a summary of Margate’s crime and arrests through Sept. 24, 2022.
Aggravated Assault
On 09/21/2022, on Royal Palm Blvd/Rock Island Road, Sherida Howell was in a road rage incident where she brandished a firearm in a black holster and raised it in the air toward the victim’s vehicle. A gun was recovered from Howell’s vehicle. The victim desired prosecution. Howell was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without the intent to kill and was transported to BSO main jail.
Armed Robbery
On 09/22/2022, at 632 S SR 7 (Massage Parlor), suspect Anthony Banks robbed the victim with a Knife/Taser and took $61 from the victim. Fled, taken into custody.
Robbery
A report of Robbery by sudden snatching; Battery on a disabled victim was made on 09/23/22 on N SR 7. Suspect Ruben Trevino struck the victim in the face/head several times and took the victim’s cell phone. He was located and detained a short distance away, with the victim’s property in his possession—arrest by K9.
Theft
On 09/18/2022, a Theft was committed at 2466 N SR 7 (Taco Bell). Delayed report. Employee stole $430 from an unsecured safe.
On 09/21/2022, a Theft was committed on NW 29th Ct. An unknown subject stole 27 clipper blades worth approximately $810 from a carport.
The theft was reported at Walmart, 5555 W Atlantic Blvd., on 09/24/22. Suspect Brittany Macumber stole $357.80 worth of misc items.
Vehicle Burglary
A Vehicle Burglary was reported on W River Drive on 09/25/2022. Someone entered a 2015 Lincoln parked in the roadway and stole a men’s Levi’s wallet with 7 Credit cards.

Belcaries, Jerrald Errington, 41, was arrested on charges of Burgl-dwelling Or Struct Burgl-dwelling Or Cause Damage Over 1000 Dols on Merrick Ln on 09/20/2022.
Aristide, Lonie, 26, was arrested on charges of Resist Officer-obstruct Wo Violence at 550 N State Road 7 on 09/20/2022.
Howell, Sherida Vincente, 25, was arrested on charges of Aggrav Asslt – Weapon-w Deadly Weapon Without Intent To Kill at 7000 Royal Palm Blvd on 09/21/2022.
Sedlock, Jeffrey Bryan, 35, was arrested on charges of Larc-petit Theft 1st Degree 100 Less 750 Dols on Nw 62nd Ter on 09/21/2022.
Banks, Anthony Dana, 22, was arrested on charges of Robbery-with Weapon at 632 S Sr 7 on 09/22/2022.
Blake, Latashia Monique, 34, was arrested on charges of Agg Assault W/deadly Weapon-dating Viol on Sw 56th Ave on 09/22/2022.
Smith, Levar Shamar, 25, was arrested on charges of Touch Or Strike/battery/dating Viol on Sw 2nd Ct on 09/23/2022.
Trevino, Ruben Wayne, 47, was arrested on charges of Robbery-no Firearm Or Weapon on N Sr 7 on 09/23/2022.
Morris, Adrian Odean, 28, was arrested on charges of Battery-cause Bodily Harm – Domestic Violence on N Lakewood Cir on 09/24/2022.
