Through our joint effort with the Margate Police Department to share updates with residents, this is a summary of Margate’s crime and arrests through January 8, 2024.
Theft
AT&T was the victim of Grand Theft on W Atlantic Blvd. A male attempted to purchase two iPhone 15 Pro Max cellphones ($1,200 each). During the transaction, the suspect snatched the two phones from the counter without trying to pay and fled westbound on foot.
HCA Florida Broward Car was the victim of Theft – All Other on N State Road 7 on 01/02/2024. The total estimated loss was $500.
Fraud
We Financial was the victim of Fraud – False Pretense on N State Road 7 on 01/02/2024. The total estimated loss was $3,500.
Burglary
A victim of Vehicle Burglary on S. Sable Circle on 01/01/2024
A subject entered an unlocked gray 2018 Honda CRV and removed two wallets containing credit cards and driver’s licenses.
A victim of Burglary Conveyance on Vizcaya Circle on 12/30/2023.
The victim advised that her black Taurus G2C 9MM firearm was stolen out of the center console of her unlocked Chevy Malibu
Two victims of Vehicle burglary on NW 69 Terrace occurred overnight. A red 2007 GMC Yukon and gray Toyota Camry (both unlocked) were entered, and wallets were stolen. Each of the below addresses had a vehicle burglarized:

Hogan Creek-unlocked nothing taken
Hogan Creek – unlocked
Hogan Hollow W- unlocked. Nothing taken
Hogan Hollow W – unlocked
Hogan Hollow E – unlocked
Hogan Creek- unlocked, purse taken, and recovered in a stolen vehicle.
All vehicles were unlocked.
A victim of Vehicle burglary on NW 70 Lane. The victim had his black Ruger LCP .380 handgun (unknown serial #) stolen from the glovebox of his unlocked vehicle, which was parked in the driveway. The following addresses also had vehicles burglarized due to unlocked doors:
NW 70th Ln. – nothing taken
NW 23rd St. – nothing taken
NW 22nd Way – nothing was taken
NW 70th Ave – purse stolen
A victim of Vehicle Burglary occurred at SW 4 Place on 12/30/2023. A black Beretta APX 9mm, valued at $300 with one loaded magazine, was taken from an unlocked 2014 gray BMW.
Arrests
Raya, Kaon, Atef, 39, was arrested on a charge of Battery-Commit Domestic Battery By Strangulation at NW 7 Court on 01/02/2024.
Mussington, Patrick, Ricardo, Anthony, 29, was arrested on a charge of Fraud at 750 S State Road 7 on 01/02/2024.
Munoz Frances, Osniel, 31, was arrested on a Larceny -Grand Theft 750 Less Than 5k Dollars charge at 5417 W Atlantic Blvd on 01/02/2024.
Green, Austin, 18, was arrested on a charge of Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence at NW 18 Street on 01/04/2024.
Perez, Miguel, 20, was arrested on a charge of Aggravated Battery W/Deadly Weapon Domestic Violence at 6050 NW 8 Street on 01/06/2024.
Salmon, Aliyah, Louise, 24, was arrested on a charge of Larceny-Grand Theft 750 Less Than 5k Dollars at 227 South State Road 7 on 01/08/2024.
