The Margate Police Department responded to various incidents and made multiple arrests between March 17 and March 23, 2026.
Incidents
Retail Theft – Dollar Tree, 1149 Banks Rd:
An unidentified Black female wearing a gray sweater, black pants, and a red backpack stole multiple items and fled on foot toward Coconut Creek.
Vehicle Burglary – SW 2nd Court (Delayed):
Victim reported a wallet missing from an unlocked work truck. Incident occurred March 10.
Grand Theft – HCA Florida Heart & Health Institute, 2964 N. SR 7:
Three silver HP EliteBook laptops, valued at $750 each, were stolen overnight between March 17 and March 18.
Aggravated Battery – Emergency Towing, 1815 N. SR 7:
Victim reported being physically assaulted by multiple employees, suffering a cracked tooth and forehead swelling. The victim also alleged that a firearm was brandished and that he was pistol-whipped.
Vehicle Burglary – Toscana Place:
Victim’s unlocked 2017 Jaguar F-Pace was rummaged through. Approximately $30 cash was taken from the center console.
Burglary/Theft – N. Cortez Drive:
Two Segway Ninebot electric scooters, valued at $799 each, were stolen from a tiki hut overnight.

Warrant Arrest – 5671 W. Atlantic Blvd:
Tacori Sanchez, 04/29/2003, and Melissa Miller, 08/26/2004, were arrested following a traffic stop that revealed active warrants for aggravated assault and discharging a firearm in public.

Oshayne Hyde, 06/05/1995.
Domestic Battery Arrest – NW 18th Court:
Priscilla Percy, 10/04/1996, struck the victim in the head with a bat during an argument.
Domestic Battery Arrest – SW 1st Street:
Jievena Pericles, 10/20/1996, charged with two counts of domestic battery after striking two victims during a dispute over money.
Narcotics Arrest – 550 N. SR 7:
John A. Phillips, 07/07/1999, charged with possession of cocaine and cannabis.
Retail Theft Arrest – Walmart, 5555 W. Atlantic Blvd:
Mervin Pinney, 08/12/1989.
Trespassing/Resisting Arrest – 1388 N. SR 7:
Johnathan Bautista, 09/20/1994.
Warrant Arrest – 6500 W. Atlantic Blvd:
Kareem Johnson, 09/25/1991, arrested during a traffic stop for window tint. Charge: criminal mischief warrant.
Domestic Battery (NIC) – Banks Road:
Jimmy Wright, 08/12/1974, struck the victim in the face. Notice to appear issued.
Felony VOP/Narcotics – 396 SW 61st Ave:
Vinson Gregory, 12/25/1956, and Elena Sosa, 08/04/1988, were arrested after a search warrant uncovered suspected crack cocaine, cannabis, and paraphernalia. Investigation revealed an alleged prostitution operation at the residence.
Firearm/Violation Arrest – 1900 N. SR 7:
Widelince Semerant, 06/16/2008, arrested following a traffic stop.
Domestic Battery (NIC) – SW 54th Avenue:
Anaya Remy, 02/26/2006.
Warrant/Firearm Arrest – 1008 SW 61st Ave:
Simon Emilio Zablah was found in possession of a firearm during arrest.
Domestic Violence Arrest – SW 11th Street:
Nick Pierre Louis, 06/12/1993, struck the victim multiple times.
Aggravated Battery (Domestic) – SW 56th Avenue:
Diana Quintero, 11/15/1979, struck the victim with a broom.
Domestic Battery Arrest – NW 8th Street:
Tyoavious Wayquan Atkins, 10/05/1995, held the victim against her will inside a bathroom.
DUI/Resisting Arrest – 700 S. SR 7:
Pierre Styvinson, 10/15/1994.
Warrant Arrest – Cumberland Farms, 5485 W. Atlantic Blvd:
Mark Smith, 04/08/1967, arrested for DUI warrant.
Trespassing/Theft/Battery on LEO – Walmart, 5555 W. Atlantic Blvd:
Frantz Abelard concealed $163.89 in merchandise and kicked and bit officers during detainment.
Domestic Battery Arrest – Celebration Point Lane:
Laura Marie Moss, 01/04/1980.
Warrant Arrest – Winfield Blvd and SR 7:
Reginald Sweeney, 12/22/1964, DUI with property damage.
Domestic Battery/Resisting Arrest – NW 67th Terrace:
Armando Dearmas, 08/30/1979, assaulted the victim and fled before being apprehended.
DUI Arrest – 6900 W. Atlantic Blvd:
Laura Lucas, 07/04/1997.
Warrant Arrest – Failure to Register (PA):
Matthew Grossman, 12/17/1983.
Narcotics Arrest – 600 S. SR 7:
Kristopher Fletcher, 10/11/1990, found with 11 grams of MDMA, drug paraphernalia, and driving with a suspended license.
