Holy Cow ice cream is now open in Margate {Holy Cow}

A new ice cream shop specializing in bringing bold flavors and entertainment options to a traditionally old-fashioned setting is now open in Margate.
Holy Cow, located at 1049 State Road 7 in Margate, recently opened its doors to what can best be described as an ice cream lounge Willy Wonka himself would approve of.
Owned by two friends, Efrem Knight, an entrepreneur and brother of ex-NBA star and Margate resident, Brandon Knight, and Thomas Brooks, a businessman and resident of Delray Beach, the pair say they came together to bring a dessert destination to Margate where the entire community can not only grab a treat but hang out and enjoy themselves.
“Our first priority is offering exceptional premium high-quality ice cream, Italian ice, and desserts,” Knight told Margate Talk.
“But, while some shops stop at focusing on just the product, Holy Cow is about offering customers reasons to not only keep coming back but to hang around a while and visit.”
Holy Cow tells Margate Talk customers can expect the unexpected when it comes to its ice cream options. From BBQ fried ice cream to a Hot Cheeto-infused flavor, its mad scientists will constantly be offering something new via a rolling menu.
The store also offers pizza, milkshakes, and sweet treats you’d normally find at a carnival, such as funnel cakes and fried Oreos, and even a variety of alcohol-infused Italian ice.
An original idea that came to fruition after Knight asked his young children what sort of restaurant they’d like their Dad to open, Holy Cow offers a long atmosphere able to accommodate everything from a parent’s date night out to a kid’s play date, and everything in between.

Scheduled entertainment includes Karaoke on Friday nights, Holy Cow DJs spinning music on Saturdays, local food, hookah options during special events, and video games and prize machines — including some with real money inside — always on hand.
Holy Cow says one of the many aspects of its location that will set it apart from the norm is ‘interactive employees,’ which focuses on much more than scooping ice cream.
“Our employees do more than take your order,” Knight said.
“They are going to make sure your experience is top-notch. Wanna hang out outside and play cornhole? No problem, we will bring the order out to you, and heck; we will play a game with you.”

No strangers to Margate, both Knight and Brooks have a long history of helping their community. Knight has organized a decade-long back-to-school backpack bash that has given more than 10,000 backpacks stuffed with supplies to Margate’s youth, while Brooks himself has coached baseball in the city for over nine years.
Both owners tell Margate Talk Holy Cow is in town for the long haul.
“The plan is to really integrate ourselves into the community that we love,” Knight said. “We think the world of Margate and see it as a unique place to grow up.”
Holy Cow is open Monday to Thursday from 12-9 PM, Fridays and Saturdays from 12 PM to 12 AM, and Sundays from 1 PM to 8 PM.
