A gunman who shot up a Coconut Creek man’s apartment over a dispute over a live video game was arrested in Miami-Dade County, police said.
Andrew Rahmings, 20, was jailed on charges of aggravated assault with a firearm and shooting into an occupied dwelling following his Nov. 8 arrest by Miami-Dade County Police.
Rahmings is accused of firing several shots into the victim’s apartment in the 3900 block of Carambola Circle North on Nov. 7 around 9:45 p.m., according to Coconut Creek Police Department.
Coconut Creek Police began their investigation into the shooting after the victim called police to report the shots fired into his apartment, police said.
The victim told investigators he “thought he might have been targeted after an argument with Rahmings stemming from a live video game,” the police department said in a Facebook post.
Coconut Creek Police investigators said they determined Rahmings was in the area of the man’s apartment at the time of the shots fired call.
No one was hurt in the shooting, police said.
Rahmings was booked into the Miami-Dade County Jail. Bond information for his case was not immediately available Wednesday.
