Lightening and Marcus {Broward County Animal Care}
Broward County Animal Care is featuring two adoptable pets this week: Lightning, a 5-year-old American Bulldog mix, and Marcus, a 5-year-old domestic shorthair cat.
Lightning (A2422950) was found as a stray in Hallandale and has been at the shelter for four months. Staff describe him as sweet, energetic, and playful, with a love for toys and treats. He appears to be housebroken, keeps his kennel clean, and knows several tricks, including catching treats mid-air. Lightning is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and available with waived adoption and registration fees.
Marcus (A2441468) is a tuxedo cat who entered the shelter after his owner passed away. Shelter staff call him a “total foodie” who enjoys treats and squeeze snacks, as well as neck scratches and body rubs. Marcus is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and also available with waived adoption fees.
Both pets are ready for adoption or foster care at Broward County Animal Care, 2400 SW 42nd St., Fort Lauderdale. All adopted pets are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, and adopters pay only a $25 county registration tag fee.
